Mexican Census 1990 (MC)

DESCRIPTION:  Codice 90 is the first computer system to assemble the cartographic and statistical information of the 11th Mexican census 1990 at a level of detail never presented before. Levels of geography include general summary (all of Mexico), state, locality, and BGEA (city blocks). General summary and state data are detailed into 10 themes: spatial distribution, migration, indigenous language, religion, level of schooling, civil status, fertility, economic characteristics, dwelling, and family. Locality data includes literacy, school attendance, level of schooling, economic characteristics, type of dwelling, characteristics of the dwelling, and services of the dwelling. Finally, BGEA level data is described by spatial distribution, migration, religion and literacy, level of schooling, civil status and fertility, living conditions, work situation, characteristics of roofs, walls, and floors, number of rooms and bedrooms, gas, drainage, and electricity, and availability of water and type of ownership.

Known Problems:  Correction diskette was sent to correct for error in "state" Puebla, last 60 "counties" after Teotlalco were missing for Table 24 under Fecundidad subject category.
